In 2016 Triple Creek Horse Outfit will offer a special “Jack London’s Overlook Ride” to commemorate the centennial of the author’s passing.
Guests will take a private three-hour ride to the very spot on the mountain where Jack London was photographed sitting astride his mount gazing over the Sonoma Valley.  The black and white image is one of the most famous of the renowned author, representing his adventurous character and his passion for horses, the outdoors and his Glen Ellen Beauty Ranch.
This ride will take our guests on the same trails Jack rode to this scenic overlook, where, after your photo is taken, one can’t help but appreciate what hasn’t changed in 100 years.
All experience levels welcome but, of course, due to length and terrain, the ride can be physically rigorous.  After the ride return to Beauty Ranch for a docent-led tour of the cottage where Jack London worked.
$330 per person. Rides are 11am in the off-season (November-March), and 10am during the regular season (April-October). For this special ride, reservations one week in advance are appreciated; there is a seven-day cancellation policy.
