Jack London State Historic Park

Nestled in the hills above Glen Ellen, California, Jack London State Historic Park has world-class horseback riding trails that take our guests past vineyards and through towering redwood tree forests and open oak woodland fields and (seasonally, at least) over bubbling creeks. Famous writer Jack London first starting buying acreage for his well-named Beauty Ranch in 1905, and visitors have enjoyed riding horses on the property’s trails ever since.

Triple Creek Horse Outfit has been guiding rides in this state park since 2003, and we enjoying sharing the rich history and heritage of this special place with visitors, whether they’re already Jack London fans or have yet to discover his work. The park was untouched by the wildfires in 2017 that affected so much of the area, and the wildlife and wildflowers are abundant.

Rides vary from a one-hour ride past vineyards up the hill to Jack London’s swimming lake or a longer ride through the redwood trees and open fields. We also can offer lunch near an ancient giant redwood tree that was featured in an early Star Wars movie.

The park has much to offer visitors on foot as well — for more information check out their website.
